Surrealism

Surrealism

1. I started the project by looking at different Surrealism works done by others and then drew some drafts of my own. I then chose the idea that I would be able to accomplish best, as well as, look good. I decided the lighting style that I wanted to use and the background that would suit the main subject of the image. Then I proceeded on taking pictures for the final product.

2. My idea was constant throughout the shoot. I took all the right poses of the subject with the right lighting, using the flash. My idea slightly changed during the Photoshop process of the project, however, I didn't have to retake any pictures. My original idea was to have to image express the phrase, "See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil," however, I wasn't able to pursue "Hear no evil" due to space issues within the project.

3. This image is of a girl with many hands covering certain parts of her face; her eyes and her mouth, and other hands in other poses. When I look at this photo, i feel confusion. It looks unreal, however, due to the symmetrical composition, it doesn't seem out of place. Even though "Hear no Evil" wasn't expressed in the image, when others view this image, I hope that they would still understand my intention of the image.
